Fiona White has the ideal manner for an NLP and conflict resolution practitioner – calm, pragmatic, and a very good listener. She asks just the right questions to empower her clients to find their own solutions.

With over 20 years professional experience in education, management, commerce, industry, recruitment and customer care in the UK, France and New Zealand, Fiona White of The Conflict Toolbox (and formerly Mediation Matters) recognises the wide-ranging costs and benefits of conflict in our lives. She has a profound understanding of the causes of conflict, its effects, and the fundamental tools required for us to make our lives easier.

Fiona’s mission is to share her NLP and conflict resolution knowledge and skills as widely as possible. She is based in Dunedin, where she divides her time between Corporate clients, Private clients, and pro bono Community work (e.g. skills workshops for local community leaders).

Much of Fiona's work is based around the latest Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) tools, Neuroawareness, and Nonviolent Communication (NVC, established by Marshall Rosenberg) - a way of communicating within ourselves and with others in a compassionate, non-judgemental, and non-threatening manner.

  • 2016/17 - Trained to an Advanced level in NLP, Hypnotherapy, and Coaching through the Phil Parker Training Institute, London.

  • 2010 - Diploma in Business Studies (Dispute Resolution), majored in 'Dispute Resolution - Mediation' from Massey University’s School of Business and Disputes Resolution Centre (in partnership with AMINZ), with a specialisation in Mediation and in Employment disputes

  • LEADR accredited Mediator since 2010

  • 2010 - Trained in the CINERGY® model of Conflict Coaching (through LEADR)

  • AMINZ Associate (Arbitrators' and Mediators' Institute of New Zealand Inc) since 2010
